Electrical

In electrical systems, an infrared scan will detect exceptions that are usually caused by
  • loose or deteriorated connections
  • short circuits
  • overloads
  • load imbalances
  • faulty, mismatched or improperly installed components
Electrical equipment failure is almost always accompanied by increased heat due to an increase in resistance. Thermaview’s scanning process can identify hot spots, enabling corrective action and the prevention of costly downtime resulting from an electrical failure.

The cost of infrared scanning varies with the amount of time required to perform a comprehensive review of all electrical panels at the facility. Our scanning service includes
  • an initial consultation.
  • a fully documented report containing infrared images of potential problems. Recommended action to correct detected anomalies is also included in the report.
The scan is normally completed within one day and must be conducted while equipment is under load, meaning no operational downtime. Infrared scans allow you to
  • schedule maintenance efficiently
  • prevent unplanned downtime
  • reduce the risk of catastrophic failure
  • reduce the risk of business interruption
  • reduce the risk of fire
Thermaview employs technicians that are trained in capturing and interpreting infrared images. We also have a fully qualified electrical contractor who ensures that the scan is conducted in a safe and efficient manner and according to the latest governing safety codes.
